1 Samuel 15:22 What is more pleasing to the Lord, your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams. Rebellion is as sinful as witchcraft, and stubborness as bad as worshipping idols.
Personalize each scripture. Write what is in your heart. Write your thoughts, feelings and understanding of the scripture. Find other scriptures that compliment the theme of the scripture. Take a day or two to meditate on the scripture.
IN OBEDIENCE, HE WILL DELIGHT IN YOU
Deuteronomy 30:10 The Lord your God will delight in you if you obey his voice and keep the commands and decrees written in the Book of Instruction, and if you turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and soul.
HE CAN MAKE YOU WILLING TO OBEY
Psalm 51:12. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and make me willing to obey you.
Romans 7: 6 But now we have been released from the law, for we died to it and are no longer captive to its power. Now we can serve God, not in the old way of obeying the letter of the law, but in the new way of living in the Spirit.
OBEDIENCE IS FOR YOUR OWN GOOD
Deuteronomy 10:12-13 And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the Lord your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul. And you must always obey the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good.
Ecclesiates 12:13 That is the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion. Fear God and obey his commands for this is everyoe’s duty.
Psalm 119:33-35 Teach me your decrees, O Lord; I will keep them to the end. Give me understanding and I will obey your instructions; I will put them into practice with all my heart. Make me walk along the path of your commands, for that is where happiness is found.
Psalm 119:129 Your laws are wonderful. No wonder I obey them!
Romans 2:13 For merely listening to the law doesn’t make us right with God. It is obeying the law that makes us right in his sight.

YOU ARE A SPECIAL TREASURE WHEN YOU OBEY
Exodus 19:5 Now if you will obey me and keep my covenant, you will be my own special treasure from among all the peoples of the earth; for all the earth belongs to me.
1 John 3:24 Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave lives in us.
YOU WILL FIND SECURITY IN OBEDIENCE
Leviticus 25:18 if you want to live securely in the land, follow my decrees and obey my regulations.

Philippians 2:12 Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear.
Romans 6:17 Thank God! Once you were slaves of sin, but now you wholeheartedly obey this teaching we have given you.

Psalm 111:10 Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true wisdom, All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom.
Ecclesiastes 8:5 Those who obey him will not be punished. Those who are wise will find a time and a way to do what is right.
YOU AND YOUR DESCENDANTS WILL PROSPER WHEN YOU OBEY
Isaiah 1:19 If you will obey me you will have plenty to eat.
Revelation 2:26 To all who are victorious, who obey me to the very end. To them I will give authority over all the nations.
Deuteronomy 5:29 Oh that they would always have hearts like this, that they might fear me and
